The Green Dot symbol is used on products to indicate that a payment has been made by the company or brand towards recycling efforts.
For the redesign submission, based on the brief issued by Two Degrees Creative and The Brand Identity, a back to basics design approach aimed to reinstate the original meaning of the symbol and steer it away from being misinterpreted as a recycle symbol, which its original design had been misunderstood to be. The result was a large green dot made up of smaller green dots reflecting the contribution, unity and common purpose behind the symbol's original meaning.
